The Realm of Vitality & Restoration
Ao Ora - “The Realm of Vitality and Restoration”
Healing is at the heart of who we are. Through Honohono, Reiki, and Mirimiri, we offer spaces for restoration, balance, and reconnection. Whether through the hands of our barbers or healing practitioners, we create moments for you to return to self and find stillness amidst the busyness of life.
Healing Services Offered:
Honohono – Energy Balancing & Realignment
Mirimiri – Physical and Emotional Bodywork
Reiki (Fa’amalolo) - Universal Energy Healing
Each session is guided by kōrero and open consultation to understand your unique needs.
Our Exchange – The Spirit of Takoha
At AO ORA, we believe that healing should be accessible and guided by mutual respect and value. Rather than a fixed price, we invite you to offer a Takoha | a gift of equivalent exchange reflecting what the session meant to you in benefit and value.
Your offering may be:
A financial contribution
A trade of goods or services
Or any form of heartfelt exchange that feels right to you
This is a space of trust, reciprocity, and shared upliftment. In giving what you can, you help sustain this kaupapa and keep the doors open for others to receive the same care.
Come as you are. Leave restored. Return when you need.

Honohono & Mirimiri Practitioner | Founder of AO ORA
I’d like to honour the gift of this medicine, which first touched my life in 2023 when I experienced Rongoa under the hands of a Rongoā Māori practitioner of Raukura Hauora O Tainui. In that moment, I was shown a profound truth — that we all carry the ability to heal.
It was also during this time during a Rongoa session, a matakite (seer), foresaw that I would one day open a clinic — a space of healing and restoration. This experience ignited a deep calling within me to further my path of service, using energy healing to support my community on a deeper level.
My journey led me to train under Aotearoa Healing, attending two wānanga guided by my kaiako, Dion Rangiuaia Freeman. Under his mentorship, I have upskilled in the practices of Honohono and Mirimiri, continuing to walk this path with humility and purpose.
The whakapapa of Honohono that I am privileged to uphold traces back to Tohunga Riwai Pakerau of Ngāti Porou, who passed this sacred knowledge to Tohunga Sally Rangiuaia Deery, who then entrusted it to Dion Rangiuaia Freeman, and through him, it has been shared with me.
In receiving this gift, I carry a quiet reminder — that what has been freely given to me is not mine to keep, but to share in service to others. In this, I honour the grace that flows through all acts of healing.

Reiki/ Fa’amalolo practitioner
To understand reiki is to remember that some things can’t be explained, only felt.
Traditionally, Reiki is a Japanese practice known as “universal life force energy” and in essence, this life force energy is love. Reiki has guided me to open doors of deeper awakenings, self discovery and reconnection to my Samoan roots also.
Although I can speak to many powerful reasons that contribute to my journey in Reiki, the one that sits at the very forefront of it all is the loss of my Nana in 2023. A purposeful woman who was god-fearing, strong, and the true essence of love. When she passed, I understood grief to be love with no where to go. She left her legacy of love & healing behind and it is now my honour to breathe it into the future.
When I received my first session of Reiki after returning home from my nanas funeral, I took it as my Nanas spiritual slap on the hand to lean into my gifts and put faith, trust and love in my higher guidance. So, I listened and now I’m here, holding sacred space.
I can truly say that finding my confidence for my practice was found through working within kaupapa maaori and connecting to mataauranga maaori. It was in the space of Rongoaa, where I was taught to bring this practice to what feels aligning.
Fa’amalolo; to put to rest. Rest as in release.
Rest as in healing. Rest as in returning to who we are beneath the weight we carry. To fa’amalolo is to ease what has been strained, to recalibrate the spirit, to invite breath and spaciousness back into the relationship with ourselves, with others and with all that holds us.
Fa’amalolo le vā — the sacred healing of the space between us.
